Any Other Way
03:30
|

Is this what I was meant to do write lonely heart broken songs
For you to cry and sing a long to all the things that I’ve done wrong
To think about it hurts somehow but I guess it’s what I do best now
That’s what’s coming through loud and clear
Maybe I could bring about a life I dream about
Without a doubt I’m almost halfway there
It’s got a big countryside, a river runs down to the tide
And I’ve been sitting by your side for years
CHORUS:
I don’t know if it’s right or not
It’s my first time or so I thought
But I believe in more everyday
And I don’t see it any other way
A lot of things I couldn’t seem to just throw away are staying
Even to this day I’m praying help me stop the games I’m playing
All I got is memories and a lot of possibilities
I can’t lose them even if I try

Roll it Out
03:14
|
|||
We had to isolate, had a life to face
To do list ended, time suspended
You wipe your face to an empty plate
And feed what’s been lost
There’s an empty space but you hesitate
You could jump on, bomp bomp bomp bomp
What you feel inside is the only guide
You can be it, when you free it
Get down on it and roll it out
You can keep running on runners doubt
You won’t be wondering when you hear them shout for more
Get down on it and roll it out the door
What happens what happens what happens what happens
What happens what happens
what happens when you open up the door
Get down on it and roll it out
You can keep running on runners doubt
You won’t be wondering when you hear them shout for more
Get down on it and roll it out
You can keep running on runners doubt
You won’t be wondering when you hear them shout for more
Get down on it and roll it out the door
Out the door
Shout for more

Open up the Door
02:49
|

How much wishing things were different
Is one supposed to do
When none at all
Will never get you through
They say it causes suffering
Life is split in two
One is gone the other one got you blue
One’s the past you can’t go back
We’ve all been there before
The other one’s the future
Open up the door
They always raised a toast to you
Made you feel at home
Funny what comes along
When you’d rather be alone
There’ll always be that one time
It happened so fast
Turned into a whirlwind
Never meant to last
One’s the past you can’t go back
We’ve all been there before
The other one’s the future
Open up the door

Sparrow
03:48
|
|||
Sparrow sings a new song
All across the nation
Cleverly renewed on
A spreading imitation
They all sing it in the wintering grounds
Oklahoma, Arkansas and Tennessee bound
Come on we could use
Some kind of celebration
Nothing to do with how
It’s over now
Wait til you hear them making their rounds
West of the rocks coastal California bound
They were singing the same old song
And they left it all behind
Things change and you move along
When you’re ready
Sparrow sings a new song
all across the nation
clearly improved upon and spreading everywhere
they all sing it in the wintering grounds
Oklahoma Arkansas and Tennessee bound
wait till you hear them making their rounds
west of the Rockies coastal California bound

Old House at Black Brook
03:53
|
|||
You may not get to see it unless you’re heading west
The old house on the highway at Black Brook is the best
Tucked off to the side still there in full view
A woodpile, gravel drive and rolling hills of blue
Was it built a hundred years ago, was the highway even there
With cars and trucks passing by and passengers who steer
A carload of us saw it on our way out here today
We all agreed if we could we’d pack it in and stay
The old house at Black Brook is not something you see
When you’re heading in the highway from the west coast to the east
On your way to Clarenville, there on your left side
There’s an old house tucked in a hill where beauty likes to hide
Curtis pointed out the view just across the way
Cliffs, trees, ocean on a million dollar day
An old salt box they call it like the ones everywhere
A kitchen, a parlour and bedrooms up the stairs
The old house at Black Brook is not something you see
When you’re heading in the highway from the west coast to the east
On your way to Clarenville, there on your left side
There’s an old house tucked in a hill where beauty likes to hide

Sea of Memories
03:31
|
|||
My heart’s asleep, my soul sailed away
It’s floating on yesterday
It’s floating on memories
A sea of memories
With no trajectory, given the forces
Given the magnitude
Of all the love we knew
A sea of love for you
I want you and me to make more
Maybe I could wake my heart with gratitude
For all you gave to me
For all the memories
A sea of memories

100 Miles
02:09
|
|||
100 miles that’s all I am
Just breaking wide and I heard the whistle
Came to a halt shouldn’t’ve listened
100 miles that’s all I am
I know what I got I know how to fix it
Gave it my best shot and I missed it
But I’ll roll it again
100 miles that’s all I am
I got every red light in Paradise
What I am is what I am
Don’t give a damn ‘bout no whistle
Came to a halt shouldn’t’ve listened
100 miles that’s all I am
